Acacia decurrens (also known as mimosa wax), or black pine in German, belongs to the Fabaceae family. The lipids from the flower extract have skin-conditioning and occlusive properties. Acacia Decurrens wax contains a mixture of free fatty acids, saturated monoesters, and a large amount of odd-numbered hydrocarbon chains. ACETYL DIPEPTIDE-1 CETYL ESTER

Acetyl Dipeptide-1 Cetyl Ester is the INCI name for the peptide N-Acetyl-L-Tyrosyl-L-Arginine Hexadecyl Ester. This is a neurotransmitter-inhibiting peptide.(1) Acetyl Dipeptide-1 Cetyl Ester promotes the synthesis of biologically active peptides that actively reduce inflammatory reactions. As a result, the peptide alleviates burning sensations on the skin and inflammation that can occur due to exposure to heat, contact with certain skin-irritating substances, or mechanical stress.(1-2) Acetyl Dipeptide-1 Cetyl Ester can also promote the formation of important proteins in the epidermis, thereby helping to improve the epidermal skin barrier.(1)

In cosmetics, it is primarily used as a skin-care active ingredient for healthy aging, as it specifically helps to firm the skin’s structure. The dipeptide not only promotes elastin synthesis but also supports the functional organization of elastic fibers. Studies have shown that it stimulates key structural proteins responsible for the mechanical stability of the tissue. ACETYL HEXAPEPTIDE-8

Acetyl Hexapeptide-8 is a synthetic peptide and is frequently used as a neurocosmetic active ingredient. In in vitro studies, it modulates components of the SNARE complex, which can attenuate facial micro-contractions—a mechanism often described as “Botox-like” (a cosmetic, non-injectable mechanism).(1-2)

Clinical trials report a reduction in fine lines. In the eye area, brightening and soothing effects were also observed in areas where the skin appeared tired. Manufacturer data show that the activity of tyrosinase—a key enzyme in melanin production—can be inhibited (in vitro), thereby contributing to a more even skin tone.(3-4)
