C12-15 ALKYL BENZOATE

C12-15 Alkyl Benzoate is a synthetic cosmetic oil that feels light and silky on the skin. It improves the spreadability of cosmetic formulations and has mildly occlusive properties that can reduce transepidermal water loss (TEWL). Due to its structural properties, it is also frequently used as a solvent for chemical UV filters in sunscreen formulations. (1-2)
