Potassium Hydrolyzed Polygamma-Glutamate is the potassium salt of hydrolyzed polyglutamic acid, a biopolymer obtained through fermentation consisting of multiple linked glutamic acid units. Thanks to its low molecular weight, this active ingredient penetrates the skin easily and hydrates it. It does so through two complementary mechanisms: it supports the body’s own hyaluronic acid in the epidermis while simultaneously increasing the natural moisturizing factors (NMFs). In addition, it can strengthen the skin barrier and help improve skin elasticity. (1–3)
