Coco-caprylate is an ester derived from (fatty) alcohols in coconut oil and caprylic acid (caprylate/caprate). In cosmetics, it acts as a skin-nourishing, softening emollient oil: it smooths the skin’s surface and leaves the skin feeling soft and well-cared-for.(1-2)
