Butyl methoxydibenzoylmethane is a sunscreen ingredient, also known as avobenzone, that provides UVA protection. This light brown, crystalline powder has a faint odor. Butyl methoxydibenzoylmethane also protects cosmetic products from photooxidation.(1)
